JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner is accused in O.R. No.4 of 2014 of the Forest Range Office, Taliparamba for the offence under the Kerala Police Act and Wild Life Protection Act, apprehends arrest and has filed this application. 2. It is submitted that the 1st accused was arrested by the forest officials on the allegation that he was found in custody of 1.5 kgs meat of wild animal. He confessed that the said meat was given to him by one Peter. Peter was arrested and he confessed that one Prince gave him 3 kgs of meat of wild animal. It is also submitted that the investigating agency wanted the petitioner to be questioned.
3. Learned counsel submitted that the allegations are not true. It is submitted that the petitioner has no connection with killing of the wild animal and the wild animal was killed by wolf.
4. The petitioner has to be questioned as to whether he is involved or not and how he got possession of the meat. In the nature of the allegations made, request for pre-arrest bail cannot

be allowed. That would affect investigation of the case.
5. Petitioner shall before the Officer investigating the case on 25.06.2014 and on other dates as directed by the said Officer. In case the petitioner is arrested, he shall be produced before the jurisdictional magistrate as early as possible.
Application is disposed of as above.
