Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The husband of the petitioner late Ganga Singh alias Ganga Sahai Verma was appointed as Assistant Teacher in Sri Gandhi Inter College, Sahavar, District Etah vide appointment letter dated 04.07.1977. The husband of the petitioner met with an accident and died on 29.07.1982.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has not been paid family pension.
More than 36 years have passed, the petitioner has not approached any appropriate forum for redressal of her grievance. The petitioner has not explained the delay of about 36 years in filing the writ petition. The writ petition is barred by delay and laches and is liable to be dismissed on this ground. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed on the ground of delay and laches. There shall be no order as to costs.
