JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 4 and 5 to furnish the copies of 58 documents marked in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner by the fourth respondent vide charge sheet dated 13.04.2016, and to permit the petitioner to cross examine the witnesses. Mr.G.Prabhu Rajadurai, the learned counsel for the respondents would fairly submit that in order to complete the enquiry and considering the grievance of the petitioner, the fifth respondent may be directed to furnish the copies of the 58 documents marked in the disciplinary proceedings to the petitioner and the petitioner may be permitted to cross examine the witnesses, who may be examined on behalf of the respondents. However, learned Counsel requested this Court to direct the petitioner to cooperate him to complete the enquiry within a time frame.
2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the respondents.
3.Having regard to the submission of the learned counsel for the respondents, this court is inclined to dispose of this Writ petition with the following direction:-
3.1.The Enquiry Officer namely, the fifth respondent shall furnish the copies of the 58 documents marked in the disciplinary proceedings, vide charge sheet dated 13.04.2016, to the petitioner. For this purpose, the petitioner shall appear before the Enquiry Officer on Wednesday (12.04.2017) at 11.00 AM. The Enquiry Officer is also directed to permit the petitioner to cross examine the witnesses, who may be examined on behalf of the respondents. The petitioner after getting the copies of the 58 documents, is expected to be ready for the enquiry within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of same. The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the Enquiry Officer and the whole enquiry shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No Costs.
