Heard Sri Mohd. Umar Khan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Standing Counsel for State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing to the Senior Superintendent of Police , Kanpur Nagar to pay House Rent Allowance (H.R.A.) to the petitioners.
It has been stated that the petitioners were posted within the district Kanpur Nagar and they were not allotted the official accommodation. Therefore, under the Government Orders dated 8.12.2008 and 11.6.1999, they are entitled for House Rent Allowance (H.R.A.). The petitioners had already moved a representation in this respect before Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanpur Nagar.
The writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanpur Nagar to pass an appropriate order on the representation of the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before the concerned authority.
