List has been revised. Nobody is present for the petitioner. Learned Standing Counsel is present for the respondent.
The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for willful disobedience of the order dated 7.5.2018 passed in Writ Petition No.16329 of 2018 (Prem Lal Vs. State of U.P. and Others). The operative portion of the order is reproduced hereinbelow:-
"It is, therefore, directed that the District Magistrate shall take action within a period of two weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of."
It is argued by learned Standing Counsel that in compliance of the order of this court, a decision has already been taken on 21.2.2019 by the opposite party, a copy of the said order is appended as annexure 1 to the affidavit of compliance and no cause of action would further survived and prays for dismissal of the present contempt application.
Since the order of the writ court has already been complied with, therefore, no further order is required.
Accordingly, the present contempt application is dismissed.
In case, the applicant is still aggrieved with the decision of the opposite party, he has liberty to challenge the same before appropriate forum.
