1. Heard Sri S. S. Nigam, learned counsel for petitioner and Smt. Sumati Rani Gupta, learned counsel for respondent-workman i.e respondent no.2.
2. This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is against award dated 28.11.1985 (Annexure IV to writ petition) passed by Labour Court, Meerut in Adjudication Case No.97 of 1980.
3. Since, parties have agreed to have this matter decided in terms of settlement as proposed, therefore, this Court is not entering into merits of the matter and with the consent of parties, I modify impugned award by directing petitioners to pay a lump sum amount of Rs.65,000/- to respondent-workman Sri Suraj Beer Singh within six months. Impugned award shall stand modified accordingly.
4. Writ petition stands disposed of with aforesaid observations.
