Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
It is stated that both petitioners are major and they have entered into the wedlock out of their own free will. It is also stated that private respondents are interfering with marital life and liberty of the petitioners.
After the period of two months from their marriage why did the petitioners not approach the police is not known. Application attached to this petition does not show by which mode the same has been sent to the police authority.
However, if the petitioners approach the police authority, the police authority may grant them protection after proper scrutiny keeping in view the observations made by the Apex Court in Lata Singh vs. State of U.P., AIR 2006 SC 2522.
With these observations, this petition is disposed of.
