JUDGMENT / ORDER

Shaffique, J.
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for police protection. According to the petitioner, on the basis of a crime registered against her, she was arrested and detained in prison for about 30 days. Thereafter she was released. However, party respondents 4 to 8 and several other persons, alleging that she had defrauded them for more than Rs.9 Crores, started threatening her and several crimes had been committed. She is unable to live peacefully in her residence and therefore she has approached this Court.
2. Learned State Attorney on instructions would submit that the petitioner was arrested and detained on the basis of a complaint filed by several persons alleging that the petitioner had defrauded them for an amount of Rs.9 Croes and 63 lakhs. That apart, the petitioner had interfered with the proceedings of Human Rights Commission for which also a crime is registered against the petitioner and another person, which is under investigation. As far as the damages to the properties of the petitioner are concerned, police have registered a crime and investigation is in progress. Thereafter, there was no complaint and as matter stands now, there is no threat as alleged by the petitioner.
Having regard to the aforesaid facts, we do not think that it is necessary to issue notice to party respondents. We only observe that if there is any commission of offence or attempt to commit offence, on the complaint of the petitioner, the Police shall make necessary enquiry and do the needful. The Writ Petition is closed.
Ashok Bhushan, Acting Chief Justice.
