Petitioner's father was Constable in U.P. Police, who retired on 30.6.2009 and he later died on 26.5.2015. Petitioner's mother has also died. Petitioner claims that he is 65% disabled and a certificate in that regard is annexed. Reliance is placed upon a Government Order dated 12.11.1997 in order to submit that petitioner is entitled to dependant pension and though he has raised a grievance in that regard but the authorities have not examined petitioner's claim.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner's grievance shall be examined by the authority competent, in accordance with law, at the first instance.
In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to approach respondent no.3 by making a representation in respect of his grievance, noticed above, alongwith certified copy of this order, annexing all materials in support of his claim, within a period of three weeks from today. In case such a claim is raised, the same shall be examined by the authority concerned and an appropriate order would be passed, in accordance with law, within a further period of four months thereafter.
