The petitioner had submitted Ext.P1 application to the 2nd respondent on 26.06.2012. The application was for entering the birth of the petitioner's daughter in the Register of Births and Deaths. Though she was born on 16.05.1971, due to the ignorance of her parents, her birth had not been registered. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted Ext.P1 application on coming to know that such registration was necessary as per law. Since there was no action on Ext.P1, she followed up the same with Exts.P2 and P3. Ext.P4 is the acknowledgment for having received Ext.P3. On the basis of her applications, the 2nd respondent appears to have addressed respondents 4 to 7 seeking information as to whether the birth of the petitioner's daughter has been registered by any of them. The respective counsel appearing for respondents 4 to 7 submit that, the birth of the petitioner's daughter has not been registered by any of them. Therefore, it is for the 2nd respondent to consider Exts.P1 to P3 and to pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law.
This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider Exts.P1 to P3 applications submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law and to pas appropriate orders W.P.(C) No.18065 of 2014 2 thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of one month of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall produce a certified copy of this judgment before the 2nd respondent for compliance.
