JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioners are the accused in CC 114/2012 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court I, Kanjirappilly. They are alleged to have committed offences under Sections 143, 147, 148, 294 (b), 324, 326, 341 and 427 read with Section 149 I.P.C. This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings on the ground that this case and the counter case have been settled.
2. Heard.
3. Respondents 2 to 11 are the victims. They have entered appearance through a counsel and filed an affidavit to the effect that this case and the counter case have been settled and the case against the petitioners need not be proceeded with.
4. I have perused the affidavits. Having regard to the nature of the allegations, I am satisfied that this is a fit case to invoke the jurisdiction of this court under Section 482 Cr.P.C.
In the result, the proceedings in CC No. 114/2012 on the
CRMC. No. 3060 /2014 2
file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court I are quashed.
If any material objects have been produced before the Magistrate, he may dispose them of.
