Grievance of petitioner is that her husband Gaya Prasad, who was a Class-IV employee of the University has died, and thereafter, claim of family pension raised by petitioner has remained pending. Attention of the Court has been invited to a letter of the University itself dated 28.5.2016, as per which the proposal was invited from the concerned department. Petitioner alleges that she is a widow and the authorities of the University have not considered her grievance relating to payment of family pension.
Considering the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no.2 to accord consideration to petitioner's claim for payment of family pension as per rules and in accordance with law, by means of a reasoned speaking order, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
