Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records of the detention order dated 09.05.2017 passed in No.247/BCDFGISSSV/2017 by the second respondent against petitioner's son Dilipkumar @ Dilip, aged 27 years, S/o.Shanmugam, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.S.Senthilvel for Mr.R.Devakumar For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in 247/BCDFGISSSV/2017 dated 09.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu Dilipkumar @ Dilip, aged 27 years, S/o.Shanmugam, No.283, Nehru Nagar, 1st Street, Vyasarpadi, Chennai-39 and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.2923 dated 20.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed.
