2. This Court, by an order dated 03.01.2017, has passed the following order :
The Chief Engineer (Personnel) Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, having issued the transfer orders to all the three petitioners, have not been issued with the relieving orders to enable them to join in the new transferred place. Although this Court has directed the learned counsel for the respondents to advise the respondents either to cancel the transfer orders or to issue the relieving orders, even after the passage of ten days time, no response is forthcoming. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to appear before this Court on 09.01.2017 with his explanation.
3. Today, Mr.A.V.Ravi, Chief Engineer, Personnel TANGEDCO, is present before this court and he has also filed common counter affidavit on behalf of the respondents. Since the petitioners were relieved by the second respondent on 06.01.2017, nothing survives for adjudication in these writ petitions.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, these writ petitions are closed. No costs.
