Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Manoj Kumar Singh who appears for the Union respondents.
Sri Singh learned counsel appearing for the Union has placed on the record instructions received by him which for the purposes of identification are marked as 'X'.
From those instructions it is pointed out that vacancies which remain unfilled in a particular recruitment, are carried forward to the next recruitment in terms of the letter of the DoP&T OM dated 05 July 2005. Acting on the basis of the aforesaid directive the respondents disclose that vacancies which remained unfilled in the recruitment of 2018 have been accounted for and included in the Constable GD examination of 2021. The respondents further refer to the notification dated 21 July 2018 to contend that vacancies reserved for ex-serviceman which remain unfilled are to be filled by candidates other than those belonging to the aforementioned category. In light of the aforesaid notification it is stated that the unfilled vacancies in the ex serviceman quota had been adjusted accordingly.
In view of the above, it is evident that nothing further survives on this petition and the reliefs as claimed cannot be granted. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
