JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the proposals sent by the Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai in his letter No.Ser.3(4)/26596/2014, dated 05.01.2015 regarding inclusion of the petitioner's name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildars of the year 2008, within a specified time fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition and facts, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following order:-
?The first respondent is directed to consider the proposal/recommendations of the second respondent, by the letter dated 05.01.2015 and place the matter before the Government regarding the exemption that was required by the second respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.?
5. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
