In paragraph nos. 5, 6 & 7 of the petition the grievance of the petitioner is regarding illegal harassment of her son Jagveer. It is a well settled law that public interest litigation cannot be instituted for the benefit of the petitioner.
In view of the averments made in paragraphs 5, 6 & 7 of the petition, we refuse to entertain the public interest litigation. Thus this public interest litigation is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to take recourse to such remedy which is available to her under law.
It is made clear that since we have not adverted to the issue raised by the petitioner in this petition, dismissal of this case shall not cause any prejudice to the interest of petitioner whenever she seeks remedy elsewhere.
No order as to costs.
