Feeling aggrieved by the inaction of respondent No.2 in receiving the Demand Draft for the value of the essential commodities and allotting the stocks for the month of October, 2014, to fair price shop No.24 of Oravakallu Village, Atchampet Mandal, Guntur District, for distribution to card holders, the petitioner, who holds authorization, filed this Writ Petition.
After taking time for instructions, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (AP) has submitted that as respondent No.3 was busy in Janmabhoomi programme, he could not receive the Demand Draft from the petitioner and that respondent No.3 would receive the Demand Draft and allot the stocks of essential Commodities to the petitioner’s fair price shop for distribution within two days.
Mr.Gaddam Srinivas, learned Counsel for the petitioner stated that when his client approached respondent No.3, he was informed that if the Demand Draft is produced tomorrow, respondent No.3 will accept the same and allot the essential commodities.
In the light of the above submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.3 to immediately receive the Demand Draft from the petitioner and allot the essential commodities for distribution, failing which, this Court will take a serious view of his conduct.
As a sequel, WPMP.No.42189 of 2014, filed by the petitioner for interim relief, is disposed of as infructuous.
