JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus for judicial enquiry headed by a retired High Court Judge, as announced by Government public statement No.115, dated 17.08.2017, to find out the cause of death of Former Chief Minister, Late Ms.Jayalalitha.
2.The writ petition has become infructuous, since a retired High Court Judge has duly been appointed to conduct an enquiry into the matter, vide G.O.Ms.No.817, Public (S.C.) Department, dated 25.09.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.829, Public (S.C.) Department, dated 27.09.2017.
Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.27045 of 2017 is also dismissed.
