JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is a Government contractor. He is undertaking so many works of the Government Departments and Public Sector Undertakings in his own name and in the name of 'PKK Constructions' and completed the work in time to the satisfaction of the authorities. The petitioner approached this court on the ground that when he is entitled for huge amounts from the State on account of pending bills, the official respondents are insisting him to furnish Bank Guarantee or security for execution of new works agreements. According to the petitioner, the pending bills can be adjusted towards security deposit to be furnished for the new works.
2. I am of the view that this is a matter of policy of the Government to decide in appropriate manner. If the petitioner approaches the 3rd Respondent by way of representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, the 3rd Respondent shall consider and take appropriate decision in the matter within a further period of three weeks.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
