The petitioner is aggrieved by the non-consideration of Ext.P2 application. Admittedly, a regular permit was granted as per Ext.P1 dated 22.02.2014 and 30 days time was sought for production of the current records of the vehicle. Ext.P2 was filed, within the period specified in Ext.P1 for extension of time and seeking four months time. 2. The learned Government Pleader submits that the current records were produced on 31.07.2014 and that he has instruction that it will be posted before the next Regional Transport Authority meeting scheduled on 14.08.2014. Taking all the circumstances into consideration, it is only proper that the current records be accepted if there is no other defect in the same. It is made clear that the grant shall not be rejected merely for the ground that W.P.(C) No.19564 of 2014 - U 2 current records were not produced within the time stipulated in Ext.P1 as obviously it has been produced on 31.07.2014.
The writ petition is allowed.
