This Criminal Original petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation, and file the final report in Crime No.17 of 2015 on the file of the respondent expeditiously.
2. A complaint was registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner in Cr.No.17 of 2015, on the file of the respondent police. The allegation in the complaint was regarding the breach of trust by few individuals and cheating the petitioner and others to the tune of Rs.1,90,19,295/- . Despite the fact that the case was registered in Cr.No.17 of 2015, there was no progress. Hence this Court has directed the respondent to file a status report. Respondent filed the status report, which reveals only the facts relating the filing of the various petitions for bail by the named accused, and the conditional bail granted to them on different dates and further, information relating to the steps taken against the accused. However, only in Paragraph No.7, it is stated that the Investigation Officer has examined the co-accused and the witnesses. It is also stated that the Investigation Officer has obtained the bank statements of the concerned accused persons and their account details. Except examining the persons from whom money was collected, there is no progress in the case.
3. In such circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following directions:
?The respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.17 of 2015 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order?.
4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
