JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner aggrieved by the order passed by the Tahsildar under the Land Conservancy Act approached the Revenue Divisional Officer, Fort Kochi by way of appeal. Ext.P3 is the memorandum of appeal along with stay application. Petitioner submits that pending appeal proceedings, Tahsildar is attempting to evict the petitioner from the occupation of the building which is the subject matter of the appeal.
2. Considering the facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the appeal within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent. Till then, status quo from today shall be maintained. If an adverse order is passed against the petitioner, that order shall be kept suspended for a period of two weeks so as to enable the petitioner to work out his alternate remedy.
The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
