JUDGMENT / ORDER

The Petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to survey the Petitioner's land and fix the metes and bounds of the Petitioner's property situated in S.No.172/1B3B, for an extent of 12.5 cents, in patta No.1907 of T.Kunnathur Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District on the basis of the Petitioner's application dated 24.10.2016 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3.According to the Petitioner, he purchased the landed property in S.No.172/1B3B, measuring an extent of 12.5 cents, in patta No.1907 of T.Kunnathur Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District from one K.Pandiammal and her sons namely Sel;vakumar, Jeevanandam and Krishnamoorthy for valuable consideration by way of registered sale deed, dated 2.6.2010, bearing Registration No.3268/2010. The Petitioner wants to survey his land and fix the metes and bounds of the above said property, for which he submitted an application on 24.10.2016 followed by a reminder dated 2.3.2017. Since no action was forthcoming from the respondents 1 and 2, the Petitioner is before this Court seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus for the relief stated supra.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no objection in considering the application filed by the Petitioner by the authorities concerned and to dispose the same within the time fixed by this Court.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the Petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim made by the Petitioner and as the learned Additional Government Pleader has no objection to consider the representation of the Petitioner, the Second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 24.10.2016 given to survey the Petitioner's land and fix the metes and bounds of the Petitioner's property as afore-stated and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the Petitioner forthwith. It is open to the respondents concerned to give notice to rival claimants if any, in the subject matter property.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
