JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to cancel the Patta No.1807, for the Survey No.491B/1B and Patta No.896 for the Survey No.486A/2B1 situated at Vaikainalloor South Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District issued by the third respondent, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2017.
2. Heard Mr.R.Murugappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader,who took notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner would submit that the lands in Survey Nos.486/2B1, 486/2C1 and 491B/1B, situated at Vaikainallur South, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District is ancestral properties. After demise of the ancestors, now the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same.
4.The petitioner would further state that the fourth respondent while granting patta under UDR scheme, has wrongly included the name of the father of the fourth respondent in patta No.896. After his demise, a new patta was issued in favour of the fourth respondent in Patta No.1807. Hence, he sent a representation dated 26.05.2017 for cancellation of Patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent and his father. Since no action was taken, the present writ petition.
5.In view of the above facts, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
