JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Municipality, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, a Sanitary Worker in the first respondent Municipality, retired from service on 31.05.2014. Complaining of the delay in settling the terminal benefits by his employer, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Municipality has fairly submitted that the pensionary claim of the petitioner has already been processed and forwarded WPC 28245/14 2 to the Local Fund Audit Department. According to him, it is only a matter of time before the pensionary benefits of the petitioner are settled. Accordingly, the learned Standing Counsel seeks three month's time to have the entire issue resolved.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Municipality, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent Municipality to settle the entire claims of the petitioner concerning his terminal benefits as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
