2. The Commissioner of Police/Detaining Authority City Police Office Huzur Road Coimbatore City Coimbatore-18 .. Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the entire records relating to the petitioner's son detention under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a 'Drug Offender' vide detention order dated 08.06.2017 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings in C.No.45/G/IS/2017, quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's son namely J.Fazil Rahman, S/o.Jaffer Ali, aged 20 years, before this Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's son is detained at Central Prison, Coimbatore.
For Petitioner : Mr.W.Camyles Gandhi For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C.No.45/G/IS/2017 dated 08.06.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, J.Fazil Rahman, aged 20 years, S/o.Jaffer Ali, Door No.38-A, Gandhi Nagar, Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore, and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.3538 dated 18.07.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
