Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned AGA for respondents 1 and 2; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the First Information Report dated 24th January, 2019 registered as Case Crime No.0011 of 2019, under Sections 323 and 326 I.P.C. at Police Station Lal Ganj, District Mirzapur.
The allegation in the impugned First Information Report, which has been lodged by informant against the petitioners by name, is that the victim who was eight month's pregnant, was assaulted by the accused persons and was set on fire by pouring kerosine oil. The victim has received 46% superficial burn injury as would be evident from the document which has been brought on record as Anenxure-'2' to the petition.
In view of the above, no case for quashing of the First Information Report or to interfere with the investigation is made out.
The petition is dismissed. The petitioners are at liberty to apply for bail, if so advised.
