1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioner.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:
"(i) issue, writ, order or direction certiorari to quash the impugned order no. 1771-75 dated 24.3.2001 passed by O.P. No. 4 as contained in annexure no. 5 to this petition.
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to direct the O.P. No. 3 and 4 to give the revised pay scale to the petitioner according to pay fixation order passed by O.P. No. 4 dated 16.3.2001 as contained in annexure no. 2 on the basis of Govt. G.O.'s dated 31.12.1977 and 23.12.1997.
(iii) issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the O.P. No. 4 directing him to call the Omission Certificate from earlier posting of petitioner, as contained in annexure no. 3 by which petitioner should get his arrears."
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
