High Court Of Gujarat|25 January, 2012

JUDGMENT / ORDER

In response to the earlier order passed by this Court, Mr.C.J. Gothi, In-charge Secretary, Legal Department is personally present in the Court. He has stated that the problems and difficulties are discussed with Mr.P.K. Jani, learned Public Prosecutor / Government Pleader and the same shall be positively responded and concrete remedial steps shall be taken with a view to see that any lapse on the part of the office of the Government Pleader or Legal Department may not affect the Court proceedings and in delivering administration of justice. However, for that he seeks some time. At his request S.O. to 6/2/2012 so as to enable the Legal Department to respond to the problems and difficulties faced by the office of the Government Pleader and so as to avoid such further eventuality by which the matters are required to be adjourned by the Court due to non-availability of the case papers with the concerned Additional Public Prosecutor / Assistant Government Pleader.
In the meantime, the In-charge Secretary, Legal Department may also have dialogue with the Secretary of the other concerned and connected departments, such as General Administration Department (GAD), Finance Department etc., so as to take appropriate decisions to overcome the problems and difficulties faced by the office of the Government Pleader.
