Heard Sri V.K.S. Somvanshi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri A.K. Sand, learned AGA for the State and perused the record.
The present writ petition has been filed with the prayer directing the respondent no.2 for expeditious disposal of the case no.3 of 2017, u/s 14(1) of U.P. Gangsters and Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.
It has been contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has already moved an application u/s 14(1) of U.P. Gangsters Act before the respondent no.2 which is pending since 29.8.2017 and the same has not been decided by him and his property has been attached.
Learned A.G.A. opposed the prayer for quashing the impugned order.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar is directed to dispose of the representation dated 29.8.2017 moved by the petitioner before him within two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order before him.
The present petition stands disposed of.
