The petitioner, who has filed a case under Section 7 of the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 and Section 26 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, praying for being appointed as guardian and for being given custody of a minor, has filed the instant petition seeking a direction to the trial Court to decide the proceedings expeditiously.
The proceeding are pending before the Principal Judge, Family Court, Firozabad.
A perusal of the order sheet reveals that the opposite party to the said proceedings is duly appearing and is contesting the proceedings.
Having regard to the fact that the matter relates to custody/appointment of guardian of a minor child, the instant petition is disposed of by directing the Principal Judge, Family Court, Firozabad, before whom the proceedings are pending, to decide the same by fixing very short dates, without giving unnecessary adjournments, keeping in mind the provisions of Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
