JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the learned Sessions Judge, (Magalir Neethimandram), Fast Track Mahila Court, Srivilliputur in S.C.No.38 of 2016 to expedite the trial and to complete the trial within stipulated time by this Court and pass such further or other orders.
2. Heard Mr.S.Muniyandi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Anbarasan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the records.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that based on his complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.2 of 2016, for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 354, 506(i) of IPC., and Section 9(1) read with Sections 10,11 (iv), 12 & 18 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, which was later altered into Section 341,354(D), and 506(i) of IPC., and Section 11(iv), 7,8, and 11(i)(iv) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and after filing charge sheet, the same was taken on file as S.C.No.38 of 2016 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, (Mahalir Neethimandram), Fast Track Mahila Court, Srivilliputhur. But so far there was no progress in the trial.

Having regard to the fact that there is a statutory requirement to dispose of cases which comes under the provision of POCSO Act, within a period of one year, this Court is of the view that necessary direction can be issued to the learned Sessions Judge, (Mahalir Neethimandram), Fast Track Mahila Court, Srivilliputhur to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible. Hence this court directs the learned learned Sessions Judge, (Mahalir Neethimandram), Fast Track Mahila Court, Srivilliputhur, to dispose of S.C.No.38 of 2016 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
