The petitioner is a Constable at District Bulandshahar. He is aggrieved by his minor punishment imposed upon him under 4(1)(b) (II) of the U.P.Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. An appeal is provided against the minor punishment in terms of the U.P.Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991.
Accordingly, writ petition is finally disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the alternative remedy under the said Rule. In case, the appeal is filed within thirty days from today, the same shall be decided on merit without insisting on the period of limitation.
No order as to costs.
