ORDER:
As per the directions of this court, dated 25.09.2014, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Kothagudem, has filed a report, dated 08.10.2014, which prima facie show very serious allegations against petitioner No.2 apart from misuse of his powers as a police constable and later as a Sub-Inspector of Police. Petitioners appear to be not responding to the notices and not cooperating with the investigation of Crime No.208 of 2014 registered against them before Kothagudem II Town Police Station. The report also shows that while working as head constable, petitioner No.2 was allotted police quarter at 3-Incline, later he occupied three other quarters viz., quarter Nos.5 to 8 and altered all the four quarters into one house, as if it was his personal property. If the contents of the report are found to be correct, appropriate action is warranted.
When the contents of the report were disclosed to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he seeks withdrawal of the writ petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, respondent No.2 will ensure that crime No.208 of 2014 is investigated and appropriate action is taken against the persons, who are found liable. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
