This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide police protection since the petitioner apprehends threat to his life and property, based on the representation dated 26.08.2017.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3.The petitioner being the owner of the property situated at S.No.429, 429/12A, 4, in Mannur Village, Sriperambudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District and apprehends threat from the third parties. In this connection, the petitioner had given a representation to the first respondent on 26.08.2017, since the same has not been considered, the present petition has been filed seeking for protection.
4.Considering the facts of the case, I am of the view that the ends of justice would be meet, if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner. Hence, there will be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 26.08.2017 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
5. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the first respondent while passing such orders, shall give due opportunity to the petitioner and the parties concerned before taking a final decision on the petitioner's representation.
6. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
