By means of this writ petition the petitioner, who is a Lekhpal, is seeking promotion on the post of Revenue Inspector.
For entitlement and grant of promotion, the petitioner has to approach the appropriate authority, which is the Commissioner, in case the petitioner is eligible for getting promotion.
Whether there is any provsion for reservation in handicapped quota or not, it is for the authorities to look into.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that in case the petitioner represents to the respondent no. 2 and if there is any provision in handicapped quota for promotion and if the rules permit and the petitioner is eligible, his claim be considered and decided in accordance with law.
