JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner approached this Court challenging the demand raised by the Water Authority. According to the petitioner, he is prepared to pay the amount, if sufficient instalment facility is given to him. However, he apprehends that without considering his request, water connection will be disconnected by the Authority. 2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Water Authority opposed the petition and the prayer. It is submitted that no instalment shall be granted to the petitioner. It is also pointed out that in fact, the petitioner was already given instalment facility as evidenced by Ext.P1 series and it is now in arrears. Therefore, the petitioner cannot be granted any other benefits.
Considering all the above, instalment facility granted -2-
W.P.(C). No. 31578 of 2014 to the petitioner shall be restored, if the petitioner pays 50% of the instalment arrears by the end of this month and remainder of arrears on or before 21.12.2014. The balance shall be permitted to be paid in accordance with Ext.P1 series.
