JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.
2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to issue patta in respect of his property bearing Old Door No.56 and New Door No.38, Bajanai Koil Street, measuring an extent of 00.117 sq.mts, comprised in Grama Natham Old Survey No.103 and new Survey No.413/3, situate at Thiruneermalai, Chennai-600 044, Alandur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, pursuant to his representation dated 07.02.2017.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2017, for the issuance of patta in respect of the above said property, the respondent has not issued the same yet.
5. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law.
6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties.
With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of . No costs.
