O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2016, within a stipulated period.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has made a representation to the second respondent on 05.10.2016, requesting to rectify the mistake in the joint patta, for the lands in Survey Nos.66, 67, 68, 70, 75 and 82, which is in the names of the petitioner, Ponnusamy, and Kamalam. But, so far, no orders has been passed by the second respondent, hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that if the said representation is pending, the second respondent will consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.
4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent / District Revenue Officer to consider petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing opportunities to the parties concerned.
5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
