JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 10.07.2017 thereby immediately settle the compensation amount with all accrued benefits namely solatium, interest and penal interest etc., payable for acquisition of his property measuring 240 square meters at No.27/143/2, M.R.L. Road, Ennore, Chennai 600 057, comprised in Survey No.2 Part, 2/2 Part (New No.27, Old No.143/2 Part, situated in Ward 'C', Block No.5, Eranavoor Village, Thiruvottriyur Taluk, Thiruvallur District, acquired by the respondents for the purpose of construction of Over Bridge, thereby treating him on par with other similarly placed claimants whose lands were acquired for the said project with enhanced compensation and other benefits.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
4. Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents
2 and 3 may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017, and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
