ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
A short prayer made by the petitioner is that his representations dated 10.12.2013 and 11.03.2014 for promotion from the existing cadre to the next cadre be considered.
The petitioner was inflicted punishment of stoppage of one annual grade increment with cumulative effect in the departmental enquiry, vide proceedings dated 11.12.2012. It is submitted that the period of punishment since expired the case of the petitioner requires to be considered for promotion. The petitioner made representations to the respondents on 10.12.2013 and 11.03.2014 in this regard and the same are pending consideration with the respondents.
After hearing the learned counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representations dated 10.12.2013 and 11.03.2014 made by the petitioner for promotion to the next cadre, if he is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law and Rules in force, within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
