JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.03.2017 in order to restore and clear the Nara Sandu pathway from Kanniamman Temple, Arni, Bazzar Street, Prinjalar Street.
2. The petitioner is the elected President of Trust Board of the Arulmigu Kanniamman Temple, Arni Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that every year they used to celebrate function for Bolisoru. The traditional practice is used to take place from the temple through Bazaar Street to Prinjalar Street through Nara Sandu. During the festival, the devotees used to hurl the Bolisoru on either side of the path. The path was approximately 8 feet width. Due to increase in population and unscrupulous elements, encroachment in the pathway is shrink and narrowed down obstructing the traditional practice followed during the festival time. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner being the Managing Trustee, has made a representation to the fourth respondent on 30.03.2017.
3. The fourth respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.576/2017/A3, dated 03.04.2017, directed the Executive Officer of the Arani Town Panchayat to initiate appropriate action. Despite the same, no action has been taken so far. The petitioner has also made a representation on 30.03.2017 to the District Collector and other Revenue Authorities. Even though, it has been acknowledged by the respondents, no action has been taken against the same. Now, the petitioner has come forward before this Court with a limited prayer for consideration of his representation dated 30.03.2017.
4. Considering the limited prayer, a direction is issued to the first respondent to look into this issue and take appropriate action, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This writ petition is ordered accordingly. No costs.
