For Petitioner : Mr.K.Premkumar For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias Addl.Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to investigate and file final report in Crime No.420 of 2014, within the time fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 13.2.2014 as against the officials of the Sriram Finance, Tambaram and others and the same was registered in Crime No.420 of 2014. Though the said complaint was registered as early as in the year 2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.420 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
