The petitioner is a defaulter in the repayment of a loan that he had availed from the 2nd respondent Bank. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to the benefit of the Debt Waiver Scheme that has been introduced by the Government to the agriculturists, who are facing financial problems due to unforeseen changes in the climate and consequent agricultural loss. However, the said benefits are not extended to him, he complains. Though he had submitted Exts.P2 and P4 complaints to the first respondent seeking redressal in the matter, they have not been considered till date. Instead, as per Ext.P5 demand, the petitioner has been informed that his property would be put up for auction if the entire amount demanded therein is not paid. 2. The Government Pleader appears for the first respondent. Since Exts.P2 and P4 are pending before the first respondent, I am satisfied that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the consideration thereof.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the grievances of the petitioner set out in Exts.P2 and P4 representations and to pass final orders thereon in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner also.
Further proceedings based on or pursuant to Ext.P5 to recover the amount demanded therein shall be kept in abeyance in the mean time.
