JUDGMENT / ORDER

Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, J.
The learned senior Government Pleader submits, on instructions, that the whereabouts of the alleged detenues are known to the police, however that, in the best interests of the alleged detenues it is not now revealed. She says that Justin Mary Thomas is employed somewhere in Delhi and that the children are with her. Respondents 5 and 6 are present. The mother of Justin Mary Thomas is also present. We think that the police having got appropriate information that the detenues are not in the illegal detention of respondents 5 and 6, the police have reliable information that the detenue Justin Mary Thomas and her children fear the injury to their lives and body, if their whereabouts are known to the petitioner. We see no ground to issue any order requiring the personal appearance of the detenues because that is not the purpose of a petition seeking issuance of a writ of habeas corpus. The availability of the alleged detenues being mentioned to the satisfaction of this Court, by the jurisdictional police, we see no ground to issue any further order in favour of the petitioner.
This writ petition is dismissed.
