This writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing Regional Manager (respondent-4) to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.1.2018.
A perusal of the representation shows that, father of the petitioner was appointed as Fitter in U.P. State Road Transport Corporation Ltd. He died in harness on 12.1.2007. The petitioner earlier moved an application for his compassionate appointment on a Class IV post, which was rejected by Regional Manager by letter dated 18.9.2017, on the ground that there was a ban for appointment on Class IV post. However, in the letter dated 18.9.2017, it has also been mentioned that there was no ban for appointment on the post of Driver and Conductor. Now, the petitioner has moved a fresh representation for his appointment on the post of Driver, alleging that he is fully eligible for appointment on the post of Driver.
The writ petition is disposed of directing the Regional Manager (respondent-4) to decide the representation of the petitioner, by a reasoned and speaking order, within two months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before him.
