It is alleged that petitioner's father was employed as a Class-IV employee in the respondent no.4 institution. He is said to have died in an accident on 14th March, 2016. An application for grant of compassionate appointment on the post of Lab Assistant was initially moved by the petitioner on 24th March, 2016. Submission is that later the qualification for the post of Lab Assistant stood amended, and therefore the petitioner was orally advised to make an application for appointment on the post of Routine Clerk, which he did. Grievance is that though sufficient time has expired but a final decision is yet to be taken. The Regional Higher Education Officer has forwarded the petitioner's claim before the Director of Education.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that grievance of petitioner can be examined by the competent authority, at the first instance.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to represent his grievance before respondent no.2, annexing therewith all relevant materials in support of his claim, alongwith certified copy of this order, within two weeks from today. The concerned authority shall afford an opportunity of hearing to respondent no.4, and then proceed to pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, within a further period of four months, thereafter.
