Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Subhra Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The petitioner has represented to the respondent no.2, Regional Food Control Varanasi for releasing the bank deposit of Rs.3 lakhs submitted in the year 2011-12 and to be substituted by a fresh bank deposit but no orders have been passed on the said request. Although, the same is pending since September, 2016. Representation has further been given on 12th March, 2018 and also a reminder given on 22nd June, 2018.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of this petition with a direction to respondent no.2, Regional Food Control, Varanasi to take an appropriate decision on the pending request of the petitioner, referred to above, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
