The petitioners made a representation on 24.03.2017 to the respondents seeking compensation for the land acquired on the premise that in pursuant to the order passed by this Court quashing the proceedings under the Urban Land Ceiling Act, they become the owner and therefore, for the acquired land, they have to be duly compensated. As the said representation is still pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed.
2.Heard Mr.D.Shivakumaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.Taking note of the pendency of the representation, a direction is issued to the third respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 24.03.2017 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
